How digitalisation is transforming the logistics sector

Over the course of three days, a wide range of industry experts discussed current and future issues at the German Logistics Congress – and COGLAS was there. From 23 to 25 October, more than 3,000 participants gathered in Berlin at the InterContinental Hotel and the Pullman Berlin Schweizerhof. The theme: ‘Inspiring Courage’.
The event focused primarily on the digitalisation of the logistics sector. Modern technologies offer significant opportunities for growth. But what does innovative IT really need to look like to meet the requirements of individual logistics processes? This is a development that COGLAS, as a provider of practical software solutions, is constantly addressing. New ideas emerged on Wednesday during the panel discussion “The Future of the Logistics IT Landscape.” The discussion focused in particular on interesting approaches to the challenge of companies offering increasingly flexible solutions to bring partners, customers and technologies into alignment.
Once again this year, the German Logistics Congress provided ample opportunity for networking. At the gala evening in particular, the focus was not only on the presentation of the German Logistics Award but also on personal interaction with all attendees.
“All in all, the German Logistics Congress was a resounding success for us. We are taking away many new ideas under the motto ‘Be bold’, which align with our company’s values. The German Logistics Congress has once again inspired us to face the challenges in business, politics and society, and to develop and implement new ideas. We look forward to taking part again next year,” says Ilja Tremasow, COGLAS Marketing & Sales.
