In December 2019, the freight forwarding and logistics company HAAF took over the finished goods warehouse of a well-known German manufacturer. The move began within four weeks of the contract being signed. The SAP interfaces were due to go live after just another four weeks: no problem at all with the COGLAS team and the COGLAS Cloud.

This project was completed even before the current coronavirus crisis – without any on-site appointments. Christoph Stoll, Managing Director of HAAF Spedition und Logistik, explains:

“It was truly impressive to see how COGLAS planned and delivered the entire project using photos, documents and online remote meetings. The remote collaboration between the three teams worked exceptionally well, ensuring that all deadlines were met and the scope of work was successfully completed. This was a completely new experience for us, and one that points the way forward. Especially given the current situation, we are glad to have completed these processes beforehand – without knowing what the future held at the time.”

The procurement of the new warehouse technology, including its installation, was completed on schedule. At the same time, the COGLAS CLOUD WEB WMS was installed, the SAP connections to the customer were implemented, and the warehouse team was also equipped with standard hardware, such as tablets and Bluetooth handheld barcode scanners. Following brief online training sessions with COGLAS, operations were then able to commence.

“The COGLAS team is always on hand to provide us with online support and process consultancy,” emphasises Stoll.

The system covers all processes, from the notification of goods arriving in KLT containers and mixed pallets, through to storage, picking, packing and dispatch. Shelving units and bulk storage are used for this purpose.
